Overview

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Cody Lenhardt graduated from The University of South Carolina, School of Law in 2002. Prior to attending law school, Cody graduated from Clemson University in 1996 with a B.S. and from the Medical University of South Carolina/University of Charleston in 1999 with a M.S. in environmental studies and policy.

Cody joined McNair Law Firm, P.A. as an Associate in September 2002. Since joining McNair, Cody has worked extensively with large and small manufacturers and other industries on a numerous environmental permitting and enforcement defense issues. From the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and CERCLA to state and local environmental regulation of wetlands, mining, land disturbance, and stormwater Cody has assisted manufacturing and industry navigate environmental matters.

In addition to manufacturing representation, Cody has worked closely with developers in commercial and residential development and redevelopment projects as they proceed through local government land use and zoning processes. Coupled with his environmental practice, Cody often assists developers in both arenas.  His areas of practice emphasis are environmental, administrative, regulatory, and land use law.

  • Represent private landowners in claims against the State of South Carolina to quiet title to marsh lands and coastal islands
